Our recruitment process is straight forward and designed to allow candidates to show us their best work. There are normally 4 stages after which, if successful, we will move to offer.
The first step is to send us your CV. Please include links to any relevant online profiles (Twitter, GitHub, LinkedIn etc). At this stage, we'll take a quick look - just enough to confirm that you're probably in the right ballpark for the position.
You'll meet with the CTO for about 15-20 minutes. You'll be asked some reasonably high-level questions, and there will be time for you to ask some too. The aim is to see if we both think there might be a mutual fit if you worked with us.
Note: please make sure that you have adequate bandwidth, and good video and audio setup. This meeting is all about communication and we want you to be at your best.
We'll send you a link to a brief for some project work. There are no "gotchas", the aim is clear, but there's a lot of flexibility in how you choose implement your solution. You should probably spend no more than a couple of evenings putting something together. Once done, please submit your work via a GitHub repo.
Now that you've completed the project, you'll sit down for a virtual Code Review with some of Netwealth's senior engineers. They'll have gone through your repo prior to the meeting and will arrive prepped with questions. This is your opportunity to "wow" them.
Note: please be prepared to share your screen with those in the Code Review, and have your solution pre-loaded in either Visual Studio or VSCode (whichever you used to developed the homework with).
We may also invite you to a short interview with another executive. Our founders often like to meet candidates to whom we think we'll be making offers.
Finally, if we like what we see, we'll make you an offer. This normally happens within a day or two.
We work hard to provide tangible benefits to all our employees. Here's our current list:
At the start of 2024, we launched the second iteration of our Career Growth Framework. We designed this from the ground-up in order to inspire and develop our Engineers and give them a clear career path. It helps define our culture and what quality means at Netwealth.
We don't have a formal training program, yet. We feel we're not really big enough to warrant that level of governance. However, junior developers get 1-2-1 mentoring from a senior developer and all team members take responsibility for mentoring everyone else in areas they excel in.
We pay for online training that developers request (e.g. Pluralsight), and conferences are considered on an individual basis. We've attended Business of Software (Europe) , ngConf in Salt Lake City, and more regular London events.
Sorry, we have no open positions at the moment.
